Great, no-cost opportunity for current 8th graders in Northeastern NC! Registration opens on December 1, 2023. Step Up To STEM is a free, residential summer program offered through the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM).

Students can apply online to the program during the eighth grade (applications for summer 2024 will open December 1, 2023, and remain open through February 8, 2024), and students who are accepted into the program have the opportunity to participate in two summers of programming (as rising 9th graders and rising 10th graders).
